GUIDE

Everything you need to know about ODTiers — from tiers and rank-ups to the scrim system and strikes.

🏠What is ODTiers?

ODTiers is the official competitive ranking system for Orion Drift VR. We organize players and teams into tiers based on skill, run rank-up matches, and provide a structured scrim system so you can always find competitive practice.

🏆Tier System

There are four major tiers, each split into High and Low:

Tier 1 (HT1 / LT1)The best players and teams in Orion Drift.
Tier 2 (HT2 / LT2)Strong competitive players pushing for the top.
Tier 3 (HT3 / LT3)Solid mid-level competitors.
Tier 4 (HT4 / LT4)Newer competitive players building their skills.

Players start at No Tier and earn their placement through rank-up matches. Teams are tiered based on their roster's skill level.

⬆️Rank-Up Matches

Rank-up privates happen on Fridays. Here's how they work:

1.Sign up for a rank-up match in your tier range via Discord or the website.
2.4 lower-tier players face 4 higher-tier players in a Best of 7 format.
3.After the match, the higher-tier players vote on each lower-tier player's performance.
4.Win the vote to earn a ✓ check on your profile.
5.Collect 3 checks to rank up to the next tier!

⚔️Scrim System

Scrims are practice matches between teams. ODTiers makes it easy to find opponents with our anonymous scheduling system.

Scheduling a Scrim

1.Go to the Scrims page or use the Discord scrim channel.
2.Select your available time slots (up to 10).
3.Set the tier range you want to play against.
4.Your scrim is posted anonymously — no one knows which team posted it until it's claimed.

Claiming a Scrim

2.Click Claim on a scrim that works for your schedule.
3.Both teams are revealed and the scrim creator is asked for the server/arena details.

Cancelling a Scrim

2.Cancelling an open (unclaimed) scrim is free — no penalty.

4.Cancelling a claimed scrim within 30 minutes of start issues a strike.
💡 Only team captains and co-captains can schedule and claim scrims.

⚠️Strikes & Timeouts

Strikes are penalties for unsportsmanlike behavior, primarily late scrim cancellations.
